In addition to the atmosphere and ambiance that accompany almost all the major Disney attractions, the Imagineers behind Expedition Everest really went out of their way to create an interesting back story, tons of authentic artwork, relics, souvenirs (my personal favorite are the Tibetan prayer flags) etc, and then there's the ride itself - pretty exciting I must say:
Like the rest of the Animal Kingdom, a large posted entryway lets you know what continent you're about to enter.
The river running through Asia has extreme attention to detail and helps set the stage.
Nate and Ali strike a pose en route.
This is probably the most photographed spot (besides the Tree of Life) in the park.
Making our way through Anandapur Village. Notice the authentic looking shops and inns along the way.
Almost there...
A closer view of the attraction while deciding whether to wait in line or not.
Yep - we decided to Fast Pass it - too many people and a little humid when we first arrived.
A view of the outdoor part of the que.
Part of the indoor que where you learn about the fated expedition - and a little Yeti lore as well.
And here's the proof :)
Some of the artwork and authentic merchandise available after the ride.
After the ride it was time for some Ice Cream in the shade. Another of the cleverly designed shops above.
And last but not least, in case you missed the link in my previous post, here a blurb about the ride from Disney:
Up next Disney's Hollywood Studios!
