Life can throw you for a loop every once in awhile. People you know, mutual friends, people you haven't seen for years seem to have a way of bumping into you when you least expect it. And I can't explain why, but for some reason they always seem to have some deep secret and/or revelation that they knew "back then" and all of the sudden decide to drop a truth bomb on you out of the blue. It's unfortunate (and a bit unpleasant I might add) to find out that the suspicions/feelings/thoughts that you may have had about a person in the past turn out to be absolutely true - but then again, as the old saying goes..."The Truth Shall Set You Free"
I suppose it does feel good to be "free" - even if it took an unsolicited acknowledgment to come full circle realization-wise. As for the truth, well, I suppose we all have a version or two...
Validations that come only when we're ready and able to be open and see clearly.
That said, I often wonder about peoples' motivations for making such revelations. Sometimes it's healing, but often it's in no one's best interest to dredge up the past, particularly from a lopsided perspective.
If it heals, take it. If it vexes, let it go.

Agreed - however, regardless of motivation you are still left with what remains, and as we all know, the truth can certainly seem "subjuctive" at times.

Yep, on both counts, definitely.
Truth like prism; crystal static, only light changes. :)
Sorry you got bombed, but you've reassured me on several occasions that everything happens for a reason. You're good, you're wise, you're loved; keep being you and all will be well.
